JUSTIN H. SETTLES

Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Justin Settles worked as an economist for the Federal government for nearly 15 years. He also performed work in this capacity for municipal studies. His experience as an economist also took him into the classroom as Adjunct Professor. From 2013–2019 he instructed Microeconomics and Macroeconomics at The Graduate School USA.

In 2014, Justin Settles formed C. Hilliard Holdings to pursue strategic investments in markets which he identified were positioned to experience long term growth. The Company’s operations are focused in four main activities– real estate, retail, investments, and food manufacturing– through residential rental properties, its wholly-owned subsidiaries Express Painters and GOtwentyfo, and ownership in Marjorie’s Cookie Shop and Dream Maker Investments.

Marjorie’s Cookie Shop is a gourmet bakery based in Memphis, TN. Its signature treats include Bangin’! Butta Cookies and sweet potato pie. Express Painters provides professional address painting services to homeowners, businesses, and communities. DMI is an investment company organized for the purpose of identifying and acquiring undervalued assets. Its portfolio consists of equity shares and digital assets. Construction of the GOtwentyfo Store #1 is underway.

Education and Interests

Mr. Settles earned a BA in Economics from The University of Tennessee (Knoxville) and an MA in Economics from The University of Mississippi.

Justin Settles is passionate about reversing generational poverty within communities of Color. To address this, he teamed up with Kenneth Woods to publish 30 Jewels: Master the Game of Life©. The book’s main message to readers is “Believe, Grow, Prosper.” Readers are encouraged to believe in their unique ability to triumph despite the odds, grow by developing productive habits, and prosper by achieving the goals they identify for themselves.
